I'm passionate about Australian music and being part of the writing, commissioning and performing of new works by Australian composers. In 2016 I launched the Australian Baroque Sonatas Project (ABSP) with Evergreen Ensemble. The goal is to commission a series of sonatas for period instruments written by Australian composers. Inspired by the music of 17th and 18th centuries, the sonatas are not written in imitation of the 'baroque style' but aim to find a new voice for old instruments within the Australian musical landscape. The first four commissions have been from the Sydney-based composer, Alice Chance.
